Blue Fresh Cut Flower Bouquets From Your Own Garden

You can make your own blue fresh cut flower bouquets from these beautiful perennials that you can grow right in your own garden.
Perennials make great cuttings for vases or bouquets and many times cutting off the blooms will help the plant to bloom fuller and for longer times. Remember to cut just as the bloom opens. Balloon Flower - Sentimental Blue - This low growing plant has medium blue flowers that puff up before Blooming. Growing to about 8" and thrives in a sunny spot.

Delphinium - Butterfly Blue - Bright blue delicate blossoms adorn this plant that has blooms in early to mid summer. It can get as tall as 10" tall and likes a sunny location with rich moist soil.

Bachelors Button - This has bright blue thistle like flowers and grows to about 24". It graces us with flowers in late summer to early fall - prune after first bloom for more blooms. Plant in a fully sunny spot.

Scabiosa - Butterfly Blue - This bushy plant is more of a lavender blue flowering plant with 2" blossoms that bloom from June to October. Plant in a spot with no shade - deadheading after first bloom will encourage repeat has flowers. This flower attracts butterflies and hummingbirds.

Verbena - Babylon Blue - Purply blue flowers on this early bloomer that is great for window boxes and plant beds.
